The anchor that holds

1 John 3:24

…And we know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

We are anchored in Jesus, because He lives in us, not because of anything we have done, but because of the Holy Spirit that Jesus gave us.

You see, Jesus placed in us the Holy Spirit when we believed and because of the Holy Spirit in us it allows the life of Jesus to abide in us. Jesus does not stay because of our good works, nor does He leave because of our sin. He is the propitiation of our sin and through that, we are now permanently anchored in His presence.

Jesus said I must go to prepare a place for you, I believe it was for a place at the feet of the Father.

Jesus said the Helper must come, so that He will lead you into all truth, that is the truth of Him.

He will never leave you or forsake you because His presence is abiding forever and now the Holy Spirit in your life is the perfect seed of God that allows Jesus to remain with you. You are anchored in Christ Jesus because of the Holy Spirit that is in you through faith and His blood is what allowed Him to come.

Jesus was the sacrifice and High Priest, He made a way to be permanently connected to the Father without my works or lack there of being a factor.

Man that is good news.
